How long have you had it? And flowers?

The beard, about three years. The flowers, only since arriving. Thought it'd be a nice way to carry them.

Do you have a favorite beard flower? And is there a story behind the beard decor?

Oh, I love daisies.

And - sure. It's customary to wear flower crowns in Willow. But when you tie a flower crown together, the only way to untie it usually ruins all the flowers. So I thought I should put them in my beard. They come out easier, so I can put them back in a vase. And if anyone's in Willow without a flower - I can just pluck one out and hand it to them.

They're a lovely flower. And classic.

That's really quite sweet of you. It sounds like you've found some peace here.

I really have. It's not perfect, but, retirement looks pretty good on me, I think. And on some of the others here.

I think once you get used to it, you might like it, too. Getting to pursue passions. Never just having to fight because there's always a battle.

It does. But, as much as I wished for the quiet life, I feel like I'm wasting these gifts. I suppose it's taken me slowing down to realize how much I do like to fight for what's right.

Maybe just not as much as back home? Something with a little more work life balance all these people were talking about.

Still, if slow is something I must experience in order to have my happy ending, I'll manage.

You're not. When you go home, it'll be business as usual. Like no time has passed.

This is just a place where time's stopped.

Then what happens to the version of me that was left to continue with the flow of time?

When I returned from fighting Ultron, I still retained my memories, which no doubt changed the course of the future.

As far as I know, when we're returned, our memories are erased. We're just a split instance of where we were before.

Well that's rude of the fox. The Watcher kept all our memories when he replaced us back in our own universes at the exact time we left.

['Rude' is putting it kindly. Peggy's pissed. For obvious reasons, she's not keen on mind tampering.]

Yeah. I'd prefer that, too. Then I could warn everyone about Thanos.

You never know, that could be how it happens in your story. The littlest things cause new universes to be created.
Yours could be the choice to come here with the fox.

Maybe. I'd like to think that. That we can fix it.

I don't doubt you and the others for one moment. You've always been more than up to the task. A respite here would only have you more prepared, not less.

And now you're here. I feel like if anything comes here, we can take it.

Agreed. We should probably put some plans in place, just in case.

I'd like to at least be prepared for Tony's go to protocols.

I'll ask him about it. I'm sure he's got plenty that don't involve us. And I think maybe they should.

If we're a team then they should include us. He likes to take on too much responsibility, and he doesn't have to do that here.

What do you think about bringing Bucky into the operations of the compound? The one who came from a world destroyed by a zombie virus. He's likely to recluse if left to his own devices.

If he wants, sure. I tried to bring the other one in but he doesn't feel like an Avenger.

I'll chat with him. It's his decision either way.

Regardless, I'd like to take a more active role, if possible.

Of course. You led the Avengers, right?

I did, yes.
