What do you play?

I play sitar. I've been playing for at least ten years, give or take. Maybe a bit longer, I'm not sure.

Sitar? Not often I see an instrument I've never heard of.

I've picked up a bit of everything here and there, but mostly violin and lyre these days.

You're not alone, I meet a lot of people who never heard of it. It's a stringed instrument, quite interesting in its construction in that you only play a few strings, while the rest are sympathetic.

I haven't really thought about trying something else, but sometimes I wonder about it.
