Mizu leans in to inspect the metalwork behind the suit. She's not made complicated armor before, but it's some impressive work. She has no idea how it flies. ]

Fascinating. Could I take a closer look at it sometime when you're wearing it?

[ But first, he needs to take her off the cloud. ]

Need you to hang on. You're not afraid of heights, are you? 'Cause the pressure change if I go too fast will mess up your internal balance, but I'll go faster if you might get sick.

No, I'm not afraid of heights. [ Cliff sides. Castles. You get past a certain point and it doesn't matter how far you fall if you fall. They're well past that. It doesn't frighten her. She's awfully calm about it. It's annoyance at needing help more than anything in this situation.

Having carried people herself, Mizu knows it is what it is. She supported him back on that ship in the trial. It's another version of the same thing. She wraps her arms and legs around him (it'd be dumb to fall now after all this waiting around) and nods. ]

[ He nods and, with his arms to support her, takes off. The suit can go a lot faster, but he chooses to have it fly at a perfectly normal speed, since faster is sometimes uncomfortable in a non-pressurized environment.

The view from up here is beautiful, but he doesn't focus on it. ]

How are you feeling?

[ Flying clothes. Mizu watches over his shoulder at the streaks of fire coming from his feet. What fuel does this armor use? Are his feet properly insulated (presumably yes because otherwise it would be a massive disadvantage)? She has so many questions. They're better than his question.

Because Mizu hates being rescued. She hates needing help. She is irritated with herself that she needed it. Not so irritated she'd rather die, but still. ]

Fine. I'm not injured. I'll know better next time.

[ She won't need help next time. ]

Well, it's not like it was your fault. These things just happen here.

[ He can hear the annoyance in her voice, and he doesn't really understand it. It's not like she could've known better, in any case.

It's no a quick descent, but it's not slow either, definitely not as slow as the air balloons. Gently, he lowers her to the ground. ]

Not so bad, right?

[ These things just happen. It makes her bristle. Mizu has been independent her whole life, never able to count on anyone to help her. Don't think about Ringo. Don't think about Ringo.

She gets to her own two feet. ]

It certainly beats falling. How does it work? I have never seen armor like that.

You know, I'm not really sure. My friend made it for me.

[ But he lifts up a little. ]

The rockets cause thrust, which allows me to fly. And then, I move to steer.

[ He lands back down. ]

Burning fuel in a guided direction makes sense. You're essentially a human rocket. It's more amazing it can be done so that you don't blow up.

[ Also steering. To adjust the trajectory of the human rocket once it's already in the air is incredible. ]

I've never seen anything like that.

I'm not even the person who uses this the most often. My friend - the one who made it - he's usually flying around. His suits are red and gold, so you can't miss them.

[ But you know, just in case she flags down the other one, for some reason, she won't expect Steve. ]

And there are bigger suits. Anyway, I do have to ask - is everything all right up in Never Fade? How did you get trapped?

I would like to talk with him. What's his name?

[ Because trying to get the attention of someone flying as fast as Steve flew in this while on the ground seems like a fool's errand. ]

Sharks are taking people. I saw someone get taken and tried to find them, but they disappeared. I was searching the entirety of the underside of Never Fade. I'm an experienced swimmer, so I didn't expect it to be a problem to swim back up top. I must have been swimming for hours.

[ She shrugs. By the time she realized it, she was sinking. Mizu made landfall where she could, but it wasn't a good spot. She didn't have a way out or up. ]

His name's Tony. He's the only one under the relic, but there used to be another one, though, he would've had the same sort of advice.

[ He nods. ]

The sharks usually give them back after a few hours. Is there anyone you know missing?

[ He seems so calm about this. ]

[ Mizu notes the name to make contact later. Someone who makes something like this... she's going to reach out to them. ]

You know what's going on with the sharks?

Yes, a... person I know. I saw them taken, but I couldn't find them.

[ Not a friend. Mizu doesn't get friends. ]

Yes, the sharks are lonely. They're just kidnapping people to play with them for a little bit.

If you want, I can go back up and try to find them. They usually don't keep anyone more than a couple hours.

[ And this time at least, they've been giving them... things. ]

[ Mizu looks back up toward Never Fade, the cloud its in at least. ]

It's been a few hours already.

[ Rin should be fine. Mizu doesn't want to owe Steve more than she does. She pushes her glasses farther up her face, though they hardly need it. ]

I'll check on them. See that they got out.

If not, I can always fly back up and check. Just gotta let me know what their name is and what they look like.

[ He's so nice like that. ]

[ Mizu nods. It hurts her pride to rely on someone else's help, and Rin might be able to get herself out of the situation. However, if she hasn't, if she can't... Mizu can accept Steve's help. ]

[ Manners. ]

How often do you use the flying armor?

Oh, I just got it in December, so I guess not all that much.

It's nice to get to use it.

[ He smiles. ]

Do you want to come back up?

Oh that is new. It looks versatile and good for combat.

[ Mizu wonders what would happen if she took her katana to it. She wouldn't want to try with Steve inside it. That'd be a terrible way to find out it doesn't hold up. ]

No, no, I'll get going. The water was making everything weird up there.

Yeah, I'd imagine it did.

Sure. I'll check for your friend.

[ It wouldn't take him very long to fly back up and look, in any case. ]

Fox spirits do strange things. Thanks, uh, again.

[ That word is not comfortable on her tongue, though she says it when she needs to. ]
