I've just never needed to, I suppose. Mine are hidden until I need them, and most of the time I just walk or take the train. They're also not the most viable form for flying long distances.

How else will you learn if you don't make some mistakes along the way?

I don't need to, but it's...I guess the novelty of it is really cool. Buuut now I'm super curious about what kind of wings you got.

Exactly! You have to stumble to climb or something like that. It's not like it's learning how to be a vampire, I don't think I can hurt anyone by flying. Unless I crash into them but I don't think that'd hurt too much.

Mine aren't very traditional, they look like a goldfish tail. I'm sure Thirteen thought it was very funny giving me something so odd.

Just be careful about where you're crashing for yourself too! You don't want to accidentally get stuck or injure yourself. Do you have someone who can help you?

I heal fast now even if I get hurt. Which is really one of the very few perks. But nope nobody to help right now. Just trying to do my best to learn on my own away from crowded areas

I don't mind! I'm always curious to see people's wings and things here.

Oh, that's fair. Being a Legend is meant to give you even more heightened durability as well, so I wonder if you're stronger than usual on top of everything else.

Oh huh! That's actually a good question. Maybe I need to find a way to test that out...

If you asked me a few months ago I may have been more hesitant but I've come to embrace the changes by now. It took me a while.

Be careful... I know you're strong and durable and all, but this place is full of unknown magic. You never know when something may affect you more than you think.

I get that. Legend seems like the I guess 'nice' one (I feel bad with that implication) but changes are hard to reconcile yourself with.

Thank you, don't worry, I wouldn't test anything out near people where anyone else could get hurt if something went weird.

No, I know what you mean. Many myths I know struggle with their role for that reason but they're all so nice and lovely people. It still feels strange to me that we're put into roles to begin with.

Next time we'll show off our wings together then! I'm curious to see yours as well.

It seems counterproductive to the idea that we're supposed to be finding our true potential. Or at least it does to me. Feels like it could push someone a certain way

Yes, I agree. You put someone into a box and they think they can't change, or that they don't "deserve" something different. It seems unfair.

Unfair is the exact way I'd describe it. It was kinda like the detention thing. That was just downright unfair and didn't seem like it was actually meant to help us.

has anyone ever asked her about the roles? why she does it?

Sometimes I thinks he likes to toss us into awkward situations for the fun of it. Like playing with dolls.

I'm sure even if they have, they didn't get a straight answer. That's kind of a theme in this place.

That's what it seemed like based on the detention thing. Like seeking retribution from strangers for things we did to other people doesn't make sese. Unless the Fox just found it fun to watch us get upset.

I guess that's not that surprising to hear =(

It's all part of her "Grand Plan" that seemingly carries no rhyme or reason. I've known people who have come and gone in days, weeks, over a year. It makes no difference.

I asked the spirits at the Kuma Lisa library for any history books about Folkmore and they sent me to a section full of fairytales from different worlds. They're real cheeky about it.

Days? Really? Is there any warning at all?

Wooow that is really cheeky of them. Do you think they meant it as a joke?

Not that I know of, no. People just... disappear.

Oh, no. The librarians are very, very serious. I think they only tolerate me because I put all the books back in their proper places and otherwise leave them be.

That's really upsetting to hear. How do people let themselves get too close knowing that?

Maybe there's some sort of actual information that's useful then? Have you actually made friends with the librarians then? Actually can we make friends with the spirits?

We still have to live life, right? Isolating yourself here is dangerous too, as you get resources by interacting with others. It's difficult but... I suppose no different than "real life" where people can disappear for... other reasons.

"Friends" is probably being generous, but they're friendly enough as long as you respect them in return.

That's a fair point, the lore thing means you kind of have to interact. Especially if you have a weird diet. But... I've kind of had enough of people disappearing for other reasons back home. Everyone close to me does that.

That's comforting to know about them at least.
