There's only one way to find out. But I don't wanna.

That's weird but not the weirdest thing I've heard of since coming here. So this one isn't your original body?

Nor do I. For now.

I'll take not the weirdest thing. But no, it's not. My brother recently offered to recreate my body for me, but his price was a bit too high. Now that I've had some distance from him it's also made me wonder why he didn't originally resurrect me in that body when he decided to bring me back to life. [ alas not questions she can ask him now. ]

[Resurrecting the dead like it was no big deal and creating (or recreating) bodies out of thin air sounded quite a bit like the Almighty Himself to Ultron!]

No. He's a mutant with the ability to bend reality to his whims.

That sounds pretty much like the definition of a god to me.

I can't lie and say he hasn't made attempts at claiming that himself.

Sounds like he might be right. So does he rule the world with a power like that? Or at least like a small country?

No. He's sort of tried a few times, but my brother or I have always managed to stop him.

So if you're this uber-powerful psychic and your brother is basically a god, what are your OTHER brother's powers like?

[This was seriously the most fascinating family he'd ever heard about in his life.]

Brian's fully human, with Otherworld blood. He does have powers, but they came from taking up the mantle of Captain Britain and were further enhanced by Merlyn. He's got vastly superhuman strength, speed, reflexes, senses, stamina, durability, flight, and the ability to sense or see through magic.

You and your siblings must have been saints in a previous life or something because it sounds like all three of you won the superpower lottery.

Also there's a Captain Britain??? What is he, the European counterpart to Captain America in your world?

I'm not always certain if I'd consider our abilities winning the lottery or being cursed.

Not quite a counterpart, but similar idea I suppose. Powers come from magic rather than science and duties extend further to include Otherworld and the multiverse at large. There's an entire Corps of them.

Might as well be optimistic about your circumstances since you're kind of stuck with your powers.

Our worlds have some similarities but yours definitely sounds like the weirder of the two.

Optimism has never really been my strong suit.

It's actually rather strange. I've been to a lot of different realities but yours does seem the most normal. Relatively speaking.

It's never been mine either. But I'm trying to be better about that now.

Really? Huh. Guess that says something about how much weirder other worlds must be. Glad to know mine is the litmus test for normal.

I hope your attempts go better than mine.

Infinitely weirder and often rather depressing. There's a disturbing amount of worlds out there where people I know ended up some sort of super villain. With a rare dash of the opposite.

I can only go up from where I started out at.

[Considering that pessimism he'd had been a significant part in why he wanted to wipe out all of humanity.]

That's because it's easy to do bad things. It's a lot harder to do the right stuff all the time like you're supposed to.

True. I suppose it's also hard to determine what the 'right stuff' you're supposed to do actually is.

Morality is a tricky beast even at the best of times. I'm STILL trying to figure it out even now.

['Even now' was relative for a being that had only proper been alive for ten months at this point.]

I wonder.

If you had the knowledge that someone might do something rather horrendous one day, would you see the morally correct answer being to eliminate before that day comes? Or is it wrong to not give them a chance to potentially change that destiny?

[ probably the worst person to ask ever, but at least he'll probably be logical about it. ]

Hmmm. If I kill them, would it guarantee other people wouldn't die or get hurt because of them? Or is this just a "maybe things will get better IF I kill them" sort of thing?

[serendipitously]

It would guarantee that nobody would die or be hurt becasue of them.

With the caveat that you will never know with absolute certainty that they couldn't have just changed before hurting someone.

I'd still kill them. People rarely change and usually do so in such a slow way that it's pointless to hope they'll do so in time to make a difference in what they might do in the future.

[ There's a wait before she sends another response. ] Even if they were rather young? Or if it was merely a plan for murder made out of anger that might cool in time?

I mean *I* was really young and the Avengers still killed me. Youth isn't always an excuse.

The second one, ehhhh, I might give a little more leeway. Sometimes you can calm down after a certain point and see a better way for things to go if you have enough time to cool down.
