Can't say I know what either of those are. Adventurers are... well folk need things done, typically too dangerous for them to handle on their own, like clearing out bandits or protecting them from wildlife or something like that. Adventurers do that sort of thing. Paid usually, but sometimes... well, people don't always have a lot to go around. Seems kinda scummy to take their coin when they're that desperate.

Just the normal amount with training. I hate bullies and wouldn't want to cross that line unintentionally.

Sounds like gentle mercenary work, at least when it's paid. Unpaid it's more using your skill sets for good.

I feel like your average person generally isn't a fan of bullies in general.

You're not wrong? Some adventurers are mercenaries, but not all mercenaries are adventurers kinda deal. Depends on the group and what they're willing to do for coin.

Yes, but do they make it their job to punch them as often as possible?

And where do you feel you fall between adventurer and mercenary?

Okay fair that's not typical.

I mean, I'm not gonna claim to be perfect, but I've got my morals and I try and stick to them. Luckily the group I work with is all in a similar vein so we haven't had any big conflicts in that respect.

When anyone claims they're perfect that's what we call a 'red flag', a warning sign. It sounds like you and your group try and do the best that you're able to help others. Some might call it hero's work.

But who am I to speak on that?

There are people across the multiverse that only help people for selfish reasons. To make themselves look good or gain power.

Are the tasks simple? Do they require courage?

I mean if they were that easy, anyone could do it. They wouldn't need our help.

the others are pretty extraordinary, yeah. I'm nobody special. But otherwise yeah, that tracks.

So you contribute absolutely nothing on these missions? No helpful skills at all?

Well of course I'm contributing, otherwise they wouldn't keep me around.

You're right, I wouldn't keep around a team member if they were performing below average to the team. I'd move them to a different group with similar skill levels.

Does that sound reasonable to you?
