PANDORA'S FOX II

If you were here last June, do you remember that app that appeared on the relics then, Pandora's Fox? It's all about finding your Familiar bond. It's been available for people to use since every Star Child was forced to fill it out or have it filled out for them with its grand reveal. However, it's sat quietly in the background unobtrusive to those who didn't click to see what it was about.

Until now.

That's right, Pandora's Fox is back! (and with a makeover). The app has been rejiggered with old questions and new, including some specific to each Role! The app will buzz and open itself with a blank profile waiting to be filled out. Star Children can fill it out for themselves—as long as they don't lie. This app will not allow Star Children to lie. Honesty is important in a Familiar bond. Star Children who lie may find that answer filled in a little too honestly and unable to be deleted. Anyone who waits too long to fill it in will find it answered for them!

Familiar bonds come in all different shapes and sizes, so find the right person for you!

I live in: Tides

I spend a lot of time in: Tides previously, currently Amrita

I choose these areas because: He is a new arrival who hadn't given thought to travel, only to adjusting to a new home.

Regions/locations I avoid: Wintermute

I avoid them because: He has been unintentionally avoiding anywhere too cold for now, considering his previous 'home' was a prison with temperatures constantly freezing.

I think I'm a Myth because: He can be quite emotionally distant and independent! He has barely been the type to work together with any others. The last time he worked with another, hundreds lost their lives, regardless of good intentions that may have been under it all. He doesn't think he deserves any better than this label and having no real connections. Even if he has connections now. Complicated, this one!

Reasons I would form a Familiar bond: He is reluctant to form further bonds, but he rather desires the warmth that comes with companionship and trust. Trust is perhaps the most important part for him! He wants to find someone, or someones, to be close enough to, where he can talk about what he may feel, so things don't fall to pieces around him because of him ever again.

What I want from a Familiar Bond: He would never admit it, but he wants to show that he can be trusted again, whether he thinks he should be or not. He wants companionship, but again, doesn't think he deserves it. He wants to be able to watch over someone and know they're well, and to finally allow someone to have his back and keep him from falling again.

I have these physical traits: A long blue-green dragon tail with a fluffy tuft at the tip, glassy blue-green horns, fangs.. oh! There are scales down his back too but good luck seeing those.

How I would rule the world: Oh he really doesn't want to do that. All he really wants is for people to be safe and in control of their own lives.

My favorite forms of self-care: He really enjoys being in water, whether swimming or a bath! Also he does seem to write a lot, not that he keeps most of it, he's already written things and then burnt the papers and it's only been a couple months!

My dealbreakers are: He hates people who want to take control over the lives of others. Not like government and laws, but really dictating someone's day-to-day. Treating him, or anyone else, as a tool or a weapon is also a really good way to get on his bad side! Or to get ignored. Or both! Back to the trust thing from before, if he can't trust someone, there's no deal to be had!

I choose these areas because: They're all familiar to the sort of world I'm from, and they're all decently modern. I like the catfe, and the study hall in Tides. But I spend most of my time working on my own projects at Thoth, when I'm not teaching.

Regions/locations I avoid: Willow, and really anywhere especially old-fashioned.

I avoid them because: I dislike places that remind me of my childhood.

I think I'm a Familiar because: I spend an awful lot of time focused on supporting others for someone who wants to be the main character of their own life, and I wasn't exactly successful trying to single-handedly forge a tech empire by the age of 30. Maybe taking care of other people and helping them shine is the main thing I'm good for.

Reasons I would form a bond: The soul-crushing loneliness? The desire to feel important to someone? The pathological need to prove how useful I am?

What I want from a bond: See above. Not to mention attention, and someone to tell me how good and smart I am.

I favor these animal forms: Owlbear. I'm still working on others, but that's the one I can do with some relative consistency.

I am interested in: Myths with a heart of gold, legends with dark secrets, that sort of thing.

The way to win me over is: Be an extremely frightening woman or a man with big, sad eyes; ideally both. Be misunderstood, or maligned, or ideally some sort of monster that I can prove I'm absolutely not afraid of or prejudiced against. Points if I can protect you, try to be your knight in shining armour and maybe fix you in some way. And it doesn't hurt if you're a rebel.

My dealbreakers are: Thinking you're smarter than me or, god forbid, actually being smarter than me. Making me feel unimportant or abandoned. Hating technology. Being generally small-minded and superstitious, or really anyone I consider some kind of hick.

I choose these areas because: I like reading. Sometimes the books will magically transform into Braille for me which is nice. Luan Street has live music and I enjoy live music. I have an office in Epiphany for my mediation firm. The Tides reminds me of New York.

Regions/locations I avoid: Wintermute. Exile.

I avoid them because: Wintermute is just a touch too cold for me. When you explore a lot of the world with your hands and can’t see icy patches it’s really not a great place to visit. I’ve heard Exile is very swampy which also doesn’t sound very fun for my hands to touch.

I think I'm a Legend because: I mostly do pro bono work back home. I believe everyone, regardless of how much money they make, deserves good representation under the law. I fight for the people who normally have no means to fight back against the people punching downwards.

Reasons I would form a Familiar bond: I admit, I’m fairly new here and don’t really understand what a Familiar bond is or what benefit it brings. Some sort of emotional support?

What I want from a Familiar Bond: I’m not really comfortable with the idea of a Familiar Bond so I wouldn’t say I want anything at all.

I think I'm a Myth because: I've done some bad things while under a spell. I know what candied, human brains taste like. I poisoned people in order to see that mine and myself got ahead.
